That was the point of the comic, which the comic itself struggled to pull off to begin with. The comic Scott was a fuckboy autismo who used got away with leaching off everyone around him by coasting on charisma. Michael Cera isn't even remotely believable as that, so they don't address it as much and basically cut the entire part where he realizes he's been coasting on his charisma and exploiting people and apologizes for it, so the entire movie feels like nobody had any actual growth and the only less Scott learned was to not cheat on people.

I don't like any of the main characters anymore, but Chris Evans and the Vegan dude are pretty lit imo.

It's a movie made at a certain time for a certain audience. That time is past now and the audience has grown up. Games, Movies, Music, Memes, Videos and shit from that Era are just so much more light hearted and genuine that it's sometimes hard to enjoy them. Everything is at face value and it's completely care free. Cool wasn't some ironic 'based' guy grifting on Twitter, it was being a skater punk or playing electric guitar. And it was completely genuine

It's a really creative film with really mediocre material.

I hated this movie until I realized that was the point. Scott beats Nega Scott not by converting him to good, but by them realizing they're exactly the same. Scott is Evil. Rules of Attraction is a similar movie.
