If you watched anything "Dexter" after the show where he had his retarded kid that shot him you are a glutton for punishment. Fool me once, first show, shame on you. Fool me twice, whatever that second one with his faggot kid was, shame on me. I refuse to watch any more of this garbage and in hindsight it should have ended with the season 4 finale of the original show and everyone blowing up in a warehouse after finding out who Dexter was or something. Just awful. I can't be fooled again.

What a baffling show. Original show declines in quality hard after s3 I think. One of the worst endings to a popular show, universally panned.
Does well enough on streaming and reruns to bring back an encore show. It’s fucking terrible and the “meaningful” ending people wanted is hamfisted and dumb.
Ok third time’s the charm. Series comes back, retcons most of previous series, might end up with “it was all a dream” levels of bullshit.

What could motivate this? The original show must be doing astronomical numbers for them to throw down so much money on this.

Dexter was not popular enough to get two revivals . Very undeserved
