I just came up with a great idea for a novel or a movie. I obviously can't explain it but I asked chatgpt if it has been before and it told me it has not been made in the spin I came up with. Any anons here that tell me how I should develop the idea?
No one will buy your script if it's an original idea
>>212619866This. Call it Jurassic World: Dinosaur Empire if you want people to be interested.
>>212619866well its sci-fi and it has been done before but not in this spin which i think it could be huge. i just asked chatgpt to double check with more sources and it told me that it has not been made before again
>>212620029i have the whole vision from the getgo but if only i could made characters. are there books that teaches how to build a character? i feel this will take me years if i decide to build something. its kind of a mix between the matrix and aliens prometheus i wont tell you the spin.
>>212620176Just copy characters from other movies. Just don't give them the same roles.
>>212620223a lone guy decides to do something against the wishes of the others. how basic is this in movies? i hate how kiss ass chatgpt is
>>212619960>>212619840 (OP)it's now the intellectual property of OpenAI
>>212620612Chatgpt is very sycophantic, just add some custom instructions to it
>>212620687what kind of instructions? can i tell it not to be so emotional and be more rational?
>>212620612>>legendary story>>star warsWow, chatgpt is redditt garbage
I’ve had like 5-6 ideas that turned into Hollywood gold a few years later (I never mentioned or wrote it down someone just had the same idea as me) kind of frustrating but i don’t even know how to sell scripts to Hollywood anyway
And in case anyone asks
Last of Us
I was inspired by the food in halo and reading about how some fungi hijack insects to make them into ‘zombies’. I basically verbatim had the same idea except every post-apoc survivor was immune because they started implanting dead spores into their bodies that made em immune
Nightcrawler except in my version there was two of them, one commiting murders, getting into car crashes etc while the other films
Inception
Thought of this after watching nightmare on elm street when I was 10. Almost the same story
Get out, but instead of racebait it was the social elite of the U.S (Bill Gates the Clinton’s etc) have been around for centuries by kidnapping people and stealing their bodies, and basically all the last presidents since the revolution has been them, and they’re fabricating this feud between democrats and republicans to keep the sheeple preoccupied and divided etc
Currently I have an idea that is basically, humanity starts settling the stars, and they make first contact when they discover another space faring species on a distant starysydtem the kicker is that they’re all extinct, recently, and they take dna samples and find out that the species they found are almost identical to earth humans
anyway the plot twist is that life in our universe will always produce humans because life can only exist in complex form on the exact setting that earth is in, and sooner or later humans will always evolve. BUT i had a final twist that there’s a human species that evolved sooner than the extinct one they found, and earth humans. And these humans are basically exterminating humans across the universe when they become advanced enough to be hunted for sport (interstellar capabilities)
>>212621135Oh and, basically these pronto humans go insane due to immortality and invulnerability, they can’t experience sensation or anything new anymore. So they visit these different humanities and progress their technological evolution (which leads to all the god myths) or sometimes seed humanity on planets in the first place, because the only way for them to experience the universe anymore is by farming lesser humans and consuming their memory and genetic memory
>>212621375anon adrenochrome is not real
>>212619840 (OP)if you think ideas have any value then you're never going to make it
>>212621990a single idea becomes multiple concepts which can be fleshed out into a story with some effort. a good idea can quickly become a layered story by asking yourself a handful of questions that could quickly go beyond scope too fast if you are not keeping track of your concepts.
