Why would anyone want to be in an industry dependant on an inherently social activity when we live in an agoraphobic anti social age? The entertainment industry is streaming or bust

Not even streaming anymore. People zone out after 5 minutes and go on their phones. Films longer than 30 seconds have no future. Same for TV shows.
It's literally, irredeemably, unsavageably, terminally and totally over.

True, one way communication canโ€™t compete with two way/interactive media
The only reason I have Netflix is for the 5 minutes before I fuck some tinder thot

>make bad movies
>people don't go to see them

also last time I went to the theater the screen was dim like they were trying to save electricity. you have to buy an imax ticket to get full brightness. which i will for avatar 3, likely more than once.

the big thing for me since covid is the gap between movies leaving the cinema to dvd/bluray/streaming has never been shorter, it's much easier for people to just wait for the vast majority of movies now.

>he thought people would pronounce it quibai
>everyone says queebee

the sad thing is this is the main reason it failed.

for the past 30 years entertainment has consistently trended to casual reality based entertainment. I would say platforms like tiktok, insta and reels have just about reached the absolute peak of what people want to watch. they don't want premium entertainment they want glorified shitposting. the cinema experience is a quaint novelty that is completely optional and streaming burdens people with choice.

might as well ask what it would look like without television or general increases in literacy
