Eh, Chronicles had potential, honestly some amazing ideas really for a brand new science fiction universe.

If it were me, I'd have made necromongers in Chronicles more like the civil war armies in the good the bad and the ugly. Don't involve him directly with the conflict.

hard agree. we lack good fantasy/adventure movies, and this was a good franchise with solid potential to deliver.

fast slop really shat the bed around the 4th or 5th movie, when they really began to utterly disregard basic physics. each movie more ridiculous than the last, until they go full anime. international super spies was a stupid direction to take the franchise. they should have kept it very grounded and all about driving and RACING, and race culture.

Shame the third movie sucks ass, it was completely unnecessary and it ruined all the build up and drama of Chronicles, it should have ended with Kyra's death and Riddick as unvoluntary lord Necromonger. But a movie with the events occurred after Pitch Black before Chronicles could have worked well.

That scene awakened something in me as a 12yo kid.

im working as a furyan double , it's like a mix of chronicles and the predator/jungle elements on furya. Hard to explain because they use both on location and volumetric displays so you cant really get a sense of the architecture and strict no phones on set of course. He does go into the afterlife or whatever it is with vaako - they team up after a fight.
