Top gun maverick's Friday total was 52 million compared to superman's 56 million. And the great reviews and WOM carried it to a total of 700 million domestically. The same will happen with superman. F4 is a much much smaller household name than superman, general audiences have Pedro pascal fatigue, the story will be too mid to garner solid audience reviews and as a result will have weak WOM.
