Let's face it, acting is insanely easy, anyone with a bit of empathy and sentience can do it. So why are modern actors so bad?

Most aren't "classically" trained. They didn't train under others who had years of experience. They didn't grind out roles on stage. They went to a "film" or "acting" school. They were given a curriculum of supposed masterpieces and then told why they were so. They came out the other end with a bunch of debt and with the assumption they were now well versed in what made for good acting. Or they skipped all that entirely and were simply handed roles by friends of their parents. Either way they never learned how to properly engage with other human beings in a believable way. Its like reading a book about how to do something, but never actually having done it

Acting is really hard and modern roles (which are bad already) are being cast by nepotism, cronyism, or tiktok follower count

>acting is insanely easy
>t. someone that's never acted, or even tried to
Go film your own self acting. Do it with your phone. Re-enact a famous movie scene, go ahead. Watch the results and try not to kill yourself. This is not to say that hwood hires actors on talent for the last 15 years (tbf acting talent does seem to come and go in waves)

Acting is insanely easy. I got rave reviews as the dentist in my high school production of little shop of horrors. I had never acted in my life, I wasn’t even a theatre kid.

Ive had to act plenty in the court room, it’s not fucking hard. But I’m also published in Nature so maybe retards can’t act or something, I understand
