Carmen can fly starships and has the balls to get into melee range and disable a brain bug if it was the last thing she got to do, wife material

That isn't even a fair analogy because without being on a military vessel Carmen would most likely never have seen Jupiter up close, it's not something she can just choose to go to, why shouldn't she find it beautiful and meaningful?

Bitch, Verhoeven made fucking Robocop where he's covered the whole film. ST is one of the most effects heavy films ever with extensive models, cgi and animatronics that blend seemlessly. It would have looked FAR better than troops running up in plastic armor with ineffective machine guns to be turned into meat. If there's anyone who could have done it, it was Verhoeven. So shut the fuck up.

I have regular dreams where I'm flying through the clouds on Jupiter, just intense pressure and heat on me but it doesn't hurt, and every time I try to fly up passed a certain point, I physically can't make it. I feel like I desperately want to get out again, but I end up just falling back down to a massive endless freezing cold sea and floating on it exhausted.

No. They hit the asteroid, then she says warn fleet command and they say the communications are destroyed. So they are unaware of the asteroid heading that way and somehow it gets from Jupiter to Earth ridiculously fast

Oh I only remember it in relation to Rico's story, her scenes are just kind of background noise to me. I never got the impression that was the same one but maybe I missed something.

that's not really how gravity and all that works, honestly Jupiter puts us in more danger than it does keeping us safe.

I know a guy who worked on Star Wars and helped with the puppet designs and always likes to talk about it like it was the best job he ever had.

His son happened to work on one of the sequels doing some CG, and quit his job to work in the civil service instead because apparently the work he was doing was so fucking dull and he couldn't be bothered to deal with the pajeets they were outsourcing a lot of stuff too. Imagine how bad that must've been if thinking the fucking civil service is a better option.

Saturn has more moons than Jupiter. That said, Jupiter sucks a lot of asteroids that could easily end life on Earth into itself using its vast gravity. Based Big Brother Jupiter protecting Earth.

robocop's face is supposed to be covered because it hides his humanity, that's the entire point of it. starship troopers is more about being human and having loyalty, friendship and romance with other humans. if you want power armor you can watch Edge of Tomorrow which did it pretty well but the two leads are charisma vacuums.

Itโ€™s staggering how many things lined up perfectly so that Earth could support life.
There are probably millions of potential Earths out there in the galaxy but theyโ€™re orbiting the wrong type of star or theyโ€™re a little too close or a little too far or they donโ€™t have a core that supports a magnetic shield or life was just beginning but an asteroid hit it.
