>>212657590 (OP)first is good, great story, feels like a classic western.
The second is overblown garbage, typical flagship game, no fun allowed, claims to be "free roam" when in actual fact everything is on rails, and the slightest misstep results in a "MISSION FAILED" screen.
Can't run in camp, can't revisit the tropical island, can't rob people in the middle of nowhere without police satellites relaying your coordinates to legions of law enforcement officers that just happen to be camped in the bush.
It's not even an RPG either, there's a karma system, that is utterly meaningless.
This game lends itself heavily towards ludo cognitive dissonance, in so far that nothing you do as the player is reflected back to you.
They claim to need gold, and everyone is poor, so I come back with 4000 USD in cash and dump them in the camp stash, and no one reacts.
We're supposed criminals and robbers, but everyone is meant to feel bad when you go and reclaim money from debtors.
We're supposed to be lead to believe your gang is just a victim of circumstance, they actually all have hearts of gold, but the genocide you commit every single mission begs to differ.
However, it is in a sense perfect: it's the perfect game for people who neither like westerns, nor video games.
