I thought of my father as someone getting in my way most of the time growing up. As I got around a bit in the world I realized that he was right almost all the time and even when he actually didn't have any idea what he was talking about, he still was trying to do right by me. We have more in common than anyone else and he's now my best friend if I ever had one.
