That's because there wasn't an origin story to eat up the first hour of the movie, which means there was room for more stuff to happen in the movie

in MoS we don't even see the suit until the 1st hour in and then we are shown Clark Kent and the Daily Planet at the end of the movie

That is how Gunn is going to make his DC universe. A lot going on and hoping the norimes care enough to buy a ticket. I don't think its a good plan at all and will lead to Zaslav pulling the plug on his DC universe in 5 years but let's see what hapoens.

Definitely a lot going on. As much as I liked the extended cast I would've liked more focus on Clark. Also the Metamorpho stuff in the pocket dimension was kinda dumb. Still had a lot of fun though
