So is 'The Suicide Squad' still canon?

Probably only in Peacemakers (DCEU) head when he walks into the portal door in Peacemaker season 2

Then Peacemaker (DCU) kills him, in a subtle way of Gunn killing the DCEU

Creature Commandos referenced Suicide Squad and it has the same Flagg Sr as Superman. But the Peacemaker in Superman looks like the alternate version of the season 2 so I don't know. I think Gunn is like the nips where he doesnt care that much about canon

Canon is whatever Gunn decides is. I don't see why this movie in particular couldn't be, tho the ending Peacemaker s1 is definitely not fully canon.

It's better than the Ayers one but still not good. The Suicide Squad is supposed to be about a bunch of murders and thieves forced to fight people even worse, not about a bunch of ragtag misfits teaming up to save the world from an alien. The only parts that really captures the spirit of the comic is the opening scene where Pete Davidson betrays everyone and the Peacemaker vs Flagg fight.
