>What I am is a man with nothing except a love of my people.
>Who's paying for these security contractors, General?
>Who pays for the drones that pass over our heads at night? One question begs another.
>Say what you're saying, General. The United States has declared its neutrality in your country's civil war both in policy and in principle.
>These pious American fictions...spoken like truth. Men with power obey neither policy nor principle, Miss Lane. No one is different. No one is neutral.
THIS is how you make a comic book about Lex Luthor funding military conflicts.

He leaned more into King Arthur, but same difference.
>kills off jimmy olsen
Is that supposed to be a criticism? I've never seen anyone who wasn't a whiny comic nerd complain about that.
>no fortress of solitude
It's in his mind. That's where he goes to speak to his father in BvS.
>no daily planet shenanigans
What do you mean by that? You did watch the director's cut of BvS, right?
>dull and depressing
Reality is depressing. We aren't making cartoons for children here.

Where exactly does the robot butler fit tonally into the trilogy-length allegory about America's relationship with immigrants in the aftermath of 9/11?

Jimmy olsen is a fun character and these movies were very unfun
>It's in his mind. That's where he goes to speak to his father in BvS.

>What do you mean by that? You did watch the director's cut of BvS, right?
Fun things couldve improved an unfun movie
>Reality is depressing. We aren't making cartoons for children here.

I really liked the Krypton scenes. They had a real sci-fi Buck Rodgers retrofuturistic vibe that I dug. It's part of the lore. I think it's important to see Kryptonians on Krypton to establish what their "normal" is instead of just on Earth where they're op. And it set up Zod's character and motivations.

Krypton was the most kino part of the movie. That's the one thing Zack got right. The whole movie should have been Krypton.

Superman is King Arthur. Batman is Lancelot. Lois Lane is The Lady of the Lake. Lex is Morgana. The Kryptonian AI is Merlin. Doomsday is Mordred. The Snyder trilogy is Snyder's take on Excalibur. That's why the Kryptonian AI quotes Excalibur and says, "The future has taken root in the present."

Your argument seems to be that you wanted fun movies. Go watch MCU stuff if you want fun, empty movies. We're here for something with depth and meaning.
