the theatrical is a fine, bittersweet ending though. he walks away so he wouldn't fuck amy smart's life up any more, it works just fine. the womb ending was my preferred ending when i was younger but nowadays i lean towards the theatrical. it is much less bleak, and the final shot of them passing each other on the street and her briefly looking back is pure kino

The directors cut makes me laugh so hard. I had only seen theatrical ending and i torrented the movie which happened to be the directors cut unbeknownst to me.
