The main problem is that they're catering to absolute morons and essentially became total corn syrup slop.
If you look at the top 10 movies of 10-20-30 years ago you can tell that as you go back the top 10 (which by that metric are all commercially successful and popular movies) tend to increase sophistication as you go backwards in time.
I've never seen mainstream cinema lower than this. Reboot, rehash, braindead sequel of something from 30 years ago, shit adaptation, etc... and all of it made to be consoomed and forgotten instantly and move onto the next thing.

The true start of the slopification of the genre was Iron Man.
It triggered the rest of the MCU which became the sloppa franca of comic book movies.

The thing is, you didnt have to watch them. I didn't, i dont think i missed anything worthwhile. And now the same people who flocked to see them complain about them like they were ticked somehow. Maybe you're the problem.
