In 2016 BvS came out and it was over for the niche Snyderverse.

I hate Snyder's films but I don't get why some people are so obsessed with worshipping this film. If this had come out when marvel released Civil War, people would be calling this a steaming pile of shit and laughing at it. I don't know if it's the fact that standards have slid into the gutter, or the fact that film "discourse" has been completely overtaken by mentally ill stan accounts that need to act like every new thing is a life altering masterpiece so they can all pretend to be part of a happy online community that compensates for real life loneliness, the fact that the election mindbroke everyone online so badly that now they're just desperate for anything that "chuds" made fun of to rescue their psyches, or a combination of all of them. it's like they saw Israel getting shat on (which was based, I'm glad the PM looked like David Ben Gurion and got killed in the film, probably the only good scene in the entire thing) and their brains went into overdrive. "THIS IS HOPE! THIS IS THE NEW PUNK ROCK! TAKE THAT DONGNOLD BGLUMPF!" but they just don't care that every single thing in the film feels like a last-minute addition. It feels like an entire film made entirely of reshoots. on paper, sure, you can talk about all these scenes where he saves animals, civilians, strikes heroic poses, etc etc, but the actual film is a fucking mess because all of these moments get exactly the same amount of attention in the actual film as they did in the trailers. it's like a 2 hour long trailer, tranformers sequel tier, and mentally unstable people craving a win against "evil right wingers that spread hate online because they just can't be decent hecking human beings" are doing that millennial thing where they'd go "OMG. THIS. IS. EVERYTHINGGGG."

The response to the RLM review is interesting. Most people in the comments are much more positive than them and people are especially mad at Jay, basically accusing him of barely paying any attention to it. I saw more than a few that are "I think I need a break from RLM after this." I only saw a response like this to the Joker film, which most people again were angry at Jay for his obvious bias. This time though, Jay just seemed apathetic and less outright biased than the Joker review.
While I think those people are being dramatic faggots, HitB does just kind of suck now. Okay "now" it has sucked for years at this point. It has 0 energy. They barely have anything interesting to say anymore. I am shocked they even bothered to review this film instead of just watching some direct to peacock "horror" film.

Best of the Worst is still funny and their best show by far. If they put HitB on a year long hiatus I wouldn't even be upset.
