my friend sustained a brain injury and after getting healthy again he's like a completely different person. its crazy to think how our whole personality can change in an instant just by hitting our head once.

all the movies you hate right now could become your favorite movies.
Any movies that deal with traumatic brain injuries?

can the person who undergoes that experience remember their old thought process? are they capable of emulating it or can they only analyse and observe?

you should be more careful before posting like that or you might end up with a minor case of severe head trauma

i wish there was like a traumatic brain injury therapy where they've figured out exact way to do it so it won't kill you or put you in a wheelchair and you can just roll the dice on a new personality if you don't like your current one

NTA but similar issue. I remember pretty much everything, the thought process, the feelings, but it feels like trying to emulate the old me is like doing a character. There’s no “energy” for it. It feels like how an athlete might feel if they have a severe injury. They can’t run like they used to. I used to run a pretty successful business and now I’m too docile. It hurts me too much to hurt others so I just amass a bunch of drags in my life. Situations I would have dealt with in 15 minutes and forgot about 5 minutes after now drag on for months.
