Because his fucked up personality is interesting and his arc of rebelling against the secondary antagonists who try to control him.behind the scenes until he basically dominates all of them was cool. Him defeating the black CEO dude and slowly taking over the company instead of being its figurehead was cool.
His weird ass relationship with Black Noir and his regret over killing him was interesting.

It really helps make up for how bullshit Butcher and his motivations are compared to the other protags.
Having a series where the villain is a Trump standin and the heroes are literal glowniggers is pretty tone deaf.
