I just watched this, and do you really want to try and convince me that this movie isn't complete KINO? Who the fuck are these retards who rated this low across the board? On every site, it has such a low ranking. How?

Just because a movie shows something doesn't make it real kek. Next you'll be upset that the old movies constantly mentioned the hole in the ozone layer, and not care to look into the real global campaign to regulate and discontinue usage of the man-made chemicals causing it, which allowed it to be repaired.

>Especially considering they never had any characters return
That's definitely the best part. They ruined the Alien series by constantly having Ripley return. Dutch being allowed to do other things and never see the Predator again keeps the concept semi-grounded and serious. If he comes back to fight it over and over because it's now his destiny, also his ancestors have been fighting it for centuries, and his descendants will fight it for millennia, well, it's just a kid's comicbook story then.

Predator 1 is totally overrated. Half of the praise it gets is from reddit sรณys losing over le ebin handshake. It has very good moments but it also suffers from poorly aged graphics, inconsistency in the direction and a fucking home alone sequence at the end. It also suffers from a lack of environmental and mob diversity, something P2 improved upon, among many other things. McTiernan is a good director, don't get me wrong, but the sequel clearly understood the concept's ultimate potential better.

Imho Danny is a good actor but a bad or mediocre lead.
Same problem w hawman or whatface in marvel.
But I guess studios thought he was bankable bc Lethal Weapon.
Also Predator 2 was really gritty.

The originals are bolstered and made entirely by the mystery. After it ends, the mystery is gone. You can't make another one with that mystery. All that's left to do is give fans more of what they liked but in a new location with new characters. But you dumbshits always whine "y dun dey juss makk wun betta den da first?!!" It's not a legitimate criticism and sounds incredibly stupid.

Racism was pretty much gone. Oh sure you'd get that odd uncle or whatever, but even they kept it to themselves. Then during occupy wall street the bankers realized people were waking up to the fact that the only real division is between rich and poor and so they put the media to work trying to tell everyone racism was somehow worse than it's ever been. And hollywood starting helping push that narrative too. The media and hollywood.

Because it has the same problem as robocop 2, they're sequels to perfect movies.
If you're so inclined darkhorse took the original predator 2 script has been turned into a novel and a comic. Originally it was dutch's twin brother who was an nypd detective who gets singled out by the predator and hunted across the city.
They have a parallel of the shooting the jungle scene where he levels half a city block. Its not good, but its a fascinating "what if" thing.

No, the vast majority of blacks, like 99% will go through life never being called the n-word or experiencing any racism, except by other blacks. That's reality. There was no "racial tension" just blacks, as usual, trying to find an excuse to riot on the PRETENSE of racism/racial tension.

There were tons of blacks and browns at my schools. They weren't bad, no one stuck to only their color, there was no racial violence, people were just people. You'd have black friends and it wasn't some unusual big deal. Date outside your race and no one batted an eye. People could say nigger and it wasn't a big deal, it was just a fucking word like all the others. And certainly didn't mean you hated all blacks. It's a thousand times worse now, and everyone's been told all these things to be angry/upset about. All these things other people did they should feel sorry for and make reparations to unrelated people about.

Also, this was my experience too. I actually had more non-white friends than white ones, but nobody thought anything of it or commented on race within our friend group, at all, ever.
Now after the media has been drilling it into soft young heads for a couple generations, it's all schoolkids talk about. They've literally made kids believe in racism and made kids more racist now, whereas before nobody cared or let color influence their thinking in any way.

Well, it is my opinion so I understand if people do not agree. Our opinions are partly shaped by our experiences.
In my experience, I was taught from a young age to be colorblind. I was born in '82 and did not really shape any political opinions until the late 90's, but by then I could definitely feel culture shifting. Media has always had an element of propaganda, but today it feels like every single movie, television show, and novel I attempt to consume has to beat me over the head with a heavy-handed message. It really seemed to start in earnest ~2008.

it's just from the media of the time, which was a prior stage to the propaganda tree.
people who are old enough and were sufficiently aware at the time knew they were tokens or forced, but it was done in a less offensive way.
it's been ramped up steadily since the 50s and maybe before, but almost all people are clueless in general, so asking them their opinion when they were 9 years old or permanently retarded and unobservant is a waste of time.
it was far more innocent seeming propaganda in the 70s because it was so unrefined and blatant.
>saay heeey joeee you think I'm like that because I'm black, jack
nowadays they're more or less just saying "death to whitey"
in between that was the familiarisation and desensitisation stages where they were ramped up to being central characters in a lot of stuff, then equals, then 'better' despite it making no sense.
same was done with feminist stuff.
>there are even women scientists!
>women scientists are just as good
>men are stupid, the woman scientist will correct him
>men are all dead, the world is much better - the actual plot of quite a few scifi things - already being done in the 90s
