>“I wasn’t supposed to be [an executive producer] at first, but I said: ‘I’d never film in Norway without having a special contract.’ After ‘Insomnia’ [Erik Skjoldbjærg’s 1997 thriller later remade by Christopher Nolan], I gathered the whole crew and said, ‘I’ll never film in this country again – unless we get a good lunch,’” he tells Variety at Karlovy Vary Film Festival, where he received the Crystal Globe for outstanding artistic contribution to world cinema. “I lost eight kilos on ‘Insomnia.’ We would usually get a loaf of bread, that’s pre-sliced, and a plastic salami. That’s it!” he says. “I’ve made other films in Norway since then, but it has always said in my contract that everybody should get lunches of the highest European standard. And that’s expensive. Norway, they’re the richest country, but they don’t want to spend money on food.”
>Skarsgård adds: “I went down, I think, half a million kroner in my salary to pay for this, for the food for everybody. And the producer said, ‘You’ll get credit for that.’ Also, the food has to be served on real china – no plastic, paper bags or whatever. And you’re not standing in line, you sit down and eat. It makes everybody happier and makes the film much better. I haven’t made one bad film in Norway since.”

>>212709065 (OP)There is no European film industry. It's just bunch of money laundering they get from government for 5 actors. Yes only 5 actors in the entire fucking country and they're all nepo babies
>>212709065 (OP)Based Stellan putting the boot down on cheap Jew necks
From the same guy who said "Big Gov must regulate IA because Hollywood will substitute writers".
Skarsgard is a kino actor, he always delivers on stage. But as a normal person, he's just a fucking atheist socialist who loves to be part of the problem and donate money to goyslop NGOs... like everybody in Hollywood.
Hypocrisy is a bitch.
>>212709065 (OP)the norwegian film industry is dogshit in general, completely devoid of original ideas and nepokids like joachim trier is a big reason why
>>212709065 (OP)Typical demanding, arrogant swedecuck. Exorbitant displays of wealth and demands for luxury like this disgust me.

>>212709262it's because spending for food falls under hospitality, which used to be a good luck thing.
>>212709065 (OP)Based Norway putting the boot down on gluttonous actor stomachs
>>212709065 (OP)Eruos are super poor and they have like a 50% effective tax rate, they probably literally couldn't afford food for a film production.

>>212709065 (OP)Yuropoors can't even feed their film crews unless America ships them supplies.
>>212710223Actors are paid massively for working a few months of the year yet they still demand to be fed for free. Meanwhile an average person has to work 40h/week all year and has to buy their own food. Fuck em. It's about time actors and other major industry "artists" get taken down a few social pegs. Only in our sick modern society are actors worshipped. They were considered unremarkable at best, or deviant lowlifes at worst throughout much of western history, from ancient Rome to Shakespeare's time.
>>212710312>for freeDid you read OPs post? Stellan took a paycut to feed the crew.

>>212710433yes he should have spent $1M on food...
>>212710632No, he should have bought the food if he wanted to feed everyone and not bitch about it. He's complaining because he's mad HE had to pay for it, because he thinks he and the crew should be fed for free.
>>212710312Brother the actors can afford to have food delivered to them and served.
It's the normal people in the crew that depend on work meals being catered.
