Why didn't he just trap Superman in the pocket dimension and then destroy all the portal devices?

Why didn't he send Ultraman and Engineer to do the nanite smothering thing at ANY point in the past?

Why didn't he just use Metamorpho to create kryptonite at ANY prior point?

He has the entire city under surveillance, apparently. Why didn't he track where Superman goes so he can pinpoint that he's Clark and so on...

>Why didn't he just trap Superman in the pocket dimension and then destroy all the portal devices?
Because why would he do that? Would YOU destroy an interdimensional teleportation device you invented that gives you your own pocket dimension?

>Why didn't he send Ultraman and Engineer to do the nanite smothering thing at ANY point in the past?

"Why didnt he try to do something until he tried to do it". Is that really your question?

>Why didn't he just use Metamorpho to create kryptonite at ANY prior point?
See above. Are you retarded?

>He has the entire city under surveillance, apparently. Why didn't he track where Superman goes so he can pinpoint that he's Clark and so on...
What exactly do you think they were doing at the beginning of the movie? Did you just sleep through the whole film or...?

The best argument for Superman being a good movie is all the critics bring up plot holes that aren't even plot holes. Like I'm sure there are a few, but all the haters immediately out themselves as pseuds when they try to specifically say something bad about the movie. In reality it's a tight script that covers a lot of ground within its 2-hour runtime without ever stumbling over itself. They even work in Jimmy Olsen and the dog into plot relevant storylines.

He's more sociopathic so he's charming at times and it gets a little weird but the mask drops at times. He's very close to a young lex. He doesn't have the gravitas yet

>beat superman in opening sequence
>lets him go despite having engineer and ultraman at beck and call who could finish the job

>creates nanomachines son blood for engineer
>only uses it once on her and no one else instead of army of them

>can create entire universes, not visit or access, literally create them
>needs government to help him kill superman and spends time trying to figure out how to get them to turn on superman and use him instead of just ruling everything with the power and knowledge he currently has

movie is retarded.

Everything in the movie feels small somehow.
I just realized we only ever see Lex in that command center small set, in the "government meeting" room and in the phantom zone.
Oh yeah superman's cave too.
So basically like 4 sets total.
The whole thing feels like a tv pilot or an episode in a tv show.

Same thing with Superman, we don't even know where he actually lives. I don't recall seeing his apartment or anything. Just Lois'.
Feels like the had limited budget for sets.
