I'm a "cook" in a high end burger joint and my coworkers are exactly like that.
Then I'll accept some shitty command 5 minutes after kitchen close time and see they literally get red from anger.
I'm paid by the hour (34$+ tips) so if I have to do no bread double cheese change the sauce burgers to some dumb tourists until 1am I'll do it with a smile.

Cooking seems like the easiest "professional" skil ever. It's literally all down to a science. x of this, y of that, for x minutes. The only variable you have to adjust for is thickness of cuts now and then which you could easily get down in a week of repetition.
