Lots of rape and incest, and honestly it does have a lot of good female characters. When the show gets shittier in later seasons the writers really try to go all-in on the "girl power" schtick at certain points and it gets annoying, but in the better part of the show it's got a pretty broad range of female perspectives from weak to strong, good to bad. And there are a lot of male characters that would be appealing to different types of women, too, they kinda round their bases on the romance-novel archetypes. Honestly the more I think about it I almost feel like this show was made more for women than men

Strong female characters like Daenyrs, Sansa, Arya, Cersei, Melisandre, Ygritte - while Wheel of Fags and Witcher have a few big females characters you always feel like they're more coombait for teenage boys, a part of the story from the male perspective rather than THE story. In game of thrones Daenrys was basically the main star for a long time, the only main character able to do magic and control dragons. I'm pretty sure Daenyrs brought in a huge female following, then later in the show after a lot of them had walled instead of looking up to her as someone pretty but also a powerful woman who everyone listened to they began to hate her, which fitted in well with how her character shit the bed in the end anyway. But their initial attraction was in large part Daeneyrs. They also loved the stuff about whores and slaves and incest, and male nudity which is extremely rare on screen - girls go wild for that shit.

You're most likely referring to House of the Dragon and that's because it IS for women. The showrunners hijacked the source material and dramatically altered it to court the female audience.
