All of them are either missing sth or totally miscast. Hackman is too heroic for the part but he sells it enough.

I unironically enjoyed the casting of the Social Network dude in BVS. I've always known Luther from his animated appearances where he's this huge imposing dude who's even more intelligent than he is powerful. Eisenberg being the physical opposite of Cavill's superman but having the brains to manipulate the godlike humanoid into being his bitch was cool. Where the casting went wrong was Eisenberg doing those stupid little ticks and clicks and weird cringe noises. I liked when he spazzed out at the gallery showing he's clearly unhinged, but those little noises were a bit much.

All that being said, the movie is pretty ass and the plot does not make any sense if you think about it for even a second. Luther's master plan is absolutely bonkers and Snyder is a shit director when he doesn't direct his actors to stop doing cringe shit or doesn't direct his superman to emote any kind of emotion.

Gene Hackman is charismatic as always but it boggles my mind that people think his Lex was a good villain. It's not Gene's fault but Lex nearly ruins the movie.

The problem is they were unable to write him like this. They just made everyone retarded so the plot could happen. So it just looks like a gibbering imbecile being treated like a threat for no reason.
