Better at its worst generally but weaker at its best (still really great though).
My holy trinity are those two and The Twilight Zone. X-Files is great because it's a pretty solid middle ground between the formats of the other two. Personally I think TV peaked with Twilight Zone but those two are the highest anyone has reached since.

Twin Peaks is a pretentious fucking disaster, so goddamn boring it’s like watching grass grow in hell. Lynch’s “genius” is just him jerking off to fog and coffee while pretending it’s art.
