This was considered a phenomenon in 2011.

Well yeah it was a different time, zoomie. We hadn’t been brain rotted by tiktok scrolling yet. Sorry if our enjoyment seems “quaint” by your over saturated, ADD, popcorn attention span brain, but at least we had a collective cultural media to relate to. What do you zoomers have? Nothing close.

2011? No, that was the 90s. And it was just one cool episode, not a "phenomenon".

OP is talking about the DVD release with the making-of special features for the episode which explained some of the more cryptic symbols and messages hidden in the ‘Tron’ universe. It was definitely 2011 and yeah, it was a big deal at the time.

People in 2004 thought this looked more real than real life.

That DVD came out in 2005. I remember because I was buying them every year as a new season was released.

That was first batch. They had a late 2000’s re-release before then re-releasing them all on blu ray. The 2nd batch dvds had hours and hours of behind the scenes and commentary and making of special features, that was the main draw for most fans. Anyway, there’s like an hour long doc on this ep and it’s pretty freakin nuts the stuff they slipped in there.

Is it just me or is zoomtard bait getting worse by the day? This is as low-effort as it gets. I remember when bait used to be artful.

Yeah, it was from the 90s. It's my favourite Treehouse Of Horror episode and always will be.
