I watched JPIII last night again for the first time in a while and honestly it’s better than the second one. It’s a perfectly fine B-movie Dino story that hits all the right notes even if it’s not as well composed. 2 just gets ruined by the San Diego sequence imo.

After 2 there would be extremely strict regulations about the islands, everyone knew about it because of Hammond being on TV talking about keeping the island isolated and quarantined to let the dinosaurs live.
The Trex and Trex Jr. were escorted by like 3 countries' navy and coastguards. You'd think a guy with some random kid would not be able to get that close parasailing.
All to get Alan back and on the island.

That was in the aftermath of a major public incident. In the long term I'd not be surprised if Costa Rica or whoever just runs a couple patrol boats by regularly to dissuade fucking with the island, only really caring that much if someone parked a cargo ship offshore and was trying to smuggle dinos off

Good taste anon, JPIII is very enjoyable if you embrace what it is. It has its flaws but it's an easy watch thanks to its breezy 90-minute runtime (to me this is the main reason why it beats the bloated TLW). Perfect movie for a rainy day at home.

It just ends because they ran out of money and the new characters are annoying as fuck. Also Site B looks incredibly different to TLW and suddenly has a mysterious number of fences for a supposedly fenceless island. Also the pterodactyls were flying around freely at the end of TLW
