This movie scared the shit out of me when i was a kid for some reason, i remember i couldn't sleep at all the night i watched it, mainly because of that part where the christmas toys become alive and terrorize the children

I've never been to Reddit and I'll probably never go, so I can't exactly gauge what the criteria is to determine what makes something "Reddit". If you mean does this movie appeal to fags and s-oyboys, the answer is "probably?" I don't know...

I'll tell you this much; if you are looking for a film that encompasses everything that Tim Burton became an animator about, if you want to see his vision in a world where it isn't bound by conventional means, if you want an honestly charming story perfect for both the Halloween and the Christmas season, if you want catchy and memorable music made by Danny Elfman, if you want very decent voice performances by Elfman himself, a wonderful performance by Catherine O'Hara, Chris Sarandon, and some of the greatest stop motion seen in decades, its a great treat. Tim Burton's world and being able to see his inner world is absolutely amazing.
