Recently, fury road. At least a dozen times. On tv and cable it might be titanic or matrix. During one December nbc played it's a wonderful life several times a day for the entire month.

I dated a girl who was a total idiot but I didn't mind. Until I found out she had watched the first transformers every single day for the past 3 years. We were 18 so she'd watch if after school, then after a retail job after graduating. It had to have been over 1000 times she watched that damn movie. It completely broke my brain to hear this like I might have been dating a mentally disabled person without realising it, and I could never think of her the same.

She’s celebrating 14 years since seeing the movie for the first time. She says she used to be severely depressed and suicidal, and that 127 Hours gave her inspiration to not kill herself. She’s severely autistic and has seen the movie hundreds of times.

One year in childhood I lived less than a block from a theater, and my mom and dad got along then so wanted me out of the house a lot. Back then some theaters were privately owned, and would show the same movie for months. I saw ghostbusters and the clint eastwood movie firefox somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 times each.

When people say they saw a movie 100 times I can't imagine it. But why are they lying?

Even with my favorite movies:

>1st watch
>rewatch
>directors commentary

after that the movie is in memory and I might rewatch it in 5 years. and my memory is below average.

they must have it run in the background so they arent fully paying attention or count watching parts of it as rewatching

Probably DUNC 1 and 2, watched both over 10 times. Then it's Lynch's Dune, Inception and Blade Runner.
