The real turn happened when Burr went on Joe Rogan's podcast with the purpose of scolding him for not taking COVID seriously enough. Before that he was one of Rogan's most recurring guests and I don't think Rogan has even so much as mentioned him in conversation since. It was around that time Burr decided to burn bridges and fully commit himself to being a lib comic.
