Robinson either needs to turn down shtick or find a new style of character to play if he's ever going to work in movies. It doesn't make sense for his character to have ever had a functioning life to ruin in the first place.

It's fine as a skit or even series of skits but then maybe it's harder to work in that reveal about Paul Rudd's character and the payoff

he's basically not even an actor, as in he can't act and has no idea how to present himself on camera that doesn't feel like when an autistic middle schooler gets interviewed on the news for winning a state spelling bee
this can still be passable in a skit, though inversely to how many actual actors are also present (Tim sucks ass in the Driver's Ed skit for example because everyone else involved is an LA "I want to be an actor" type of person, even the teenagers).
This is most noticeable in this movie, because it's a movie. It's a story that lasts longer than 4 minutes and has even more actor-y actors than he usually works with.
Some people just don't work on camera, and Tim is one of them.

It was Tim and Eric then Eric Andre and now Tim Robinson. They get popular and have an outsized influence for a short window of time and then fade back to irrelevance. I think Robinson has outlasted Eric Andre's run at this point. Hopefully he doesn't last as long as Tim and Eric did.
