Well that's not true, so let's make this thread about debating who the actual most influential comedian is. Joe Rogan is easily more influential. Maybe not in comedy itself, but rather in general. Will Ferrell has been more influential on comedy. Maybe not the most influential, but moreso than Tim.

He's not though. Not even close. Tim and Eric's influence over comedy is vastly overstated. It was influential don't get me wrong, just not to a massive extent. Tim himself really isn't that big, he struggles to get stuff financed after getting dropped from Adult Swim and does stuff like On Cinema on a shoestring budget. The biggest shows his production company produced are NFY and Eric Andre, which are fairly niche and only well known to terminally online people.

I say this as somebody who mostly likes Tim's comedy.

Opie was and is a nothing and Cumia while certainly influential (this is bad btw because everyone he inspired fucking sucks) is a pedophile vampire who consumed a woman's flesh in a demonic blood ritual. The Count lives in his coffin-shaped basement doing Karaoke on long island and had a network of podcasts that all fucking sucked featuring painfully unfunny nobodies that, with the exception of Gavin McInnes, all reeked of amateur desperation.

Nah because he fell off like ten years ago and Nathan Fielder took over. Nobody is influenced by On Cinema and the Tim and Eric millennial editing thing has been dead for years.

This. The entirety of comediab podcasts is just late O&A. They also accidentally invented irl livestreams with paltalk back in 2002.

>Nobody is influenced by On Cinema
A lot of Nathan's material is written by Eric Notarnicola who is heavily involved with producing On Cinema. So in a way, Nathan's own comedy is influenced by On Cinema. Hell, Nathan's career got boosted to where it is because of Abso Lutely producing Nathan For You.

Nathan is far and away the better comedian, I don't know how influential he really is though. Although he's still kind of at the peak of his career, so we might not see his influence for several years.
