>>212805399I always forget that this is supposed to be an American character, not just naturalised? We never see a telephone or letter carrier in this apartment, do we? It seems like an expat would have a greater interest in these things, maybe even international newspapers.
>In the third revision of Jeffrey Boam's original script, Donovan was named Walter Chandler with a company of his own named the Chandler Foundation instead. While Chandler was one of the main villains, he was not intended to be the primary antagonist with the character falling to his death with the tank in Hatay (a fate which would later go to Vogel). Tom Stoppard changed the character's surname to Donovan in his revisions as well as the manner of his demise.so he stayed to drink from one of the chalices but it's like a scene from one of Shakespeare's comedies rendered in a gothic fantasy style. A bit like where the prospective brides have to choose between three different types of metal boxes or something.
