There's now two Doctor Whos. The original Doctor, played by David Tennant again, who has the original Tardis, and lives with Donna Noble (who is only alive purely because she has a trans kid) and goes on adventures with her.
Meanwhile, there's also the Doctor's son, who the TV show will actually follow now, who is on their second incarnation, and goes on adventures in the a new Tardis which is the original Tardis' son, and is played by Billie Piper.
Is that about right?
