Seasons 2-6 are pretty consistently great. S1 is rocky (for the show), S7 gets a little too sentimental for me, but is still very good.

I don't think it ever drops in quality. Sometimes there's a little too much relationship stuff in it for me, but it's still funny.

Once Donald Glover leaves to be on Community the humor feels different somewhat, but how I couldn't explain how. Not as many meme references?

s1 is still the show trying to find its footing but after that it's pretty much a kino ride til the end
still can't figure out how this show got away with taking so jabs at feminism the way it did plus a lot of "feminists" would claim this show is still 100% girl power!! bullshit despite it

There is an episode that kinda tackles that, where the premise is that everyone thinks that the show and Liz Lemon hates women

There's a slight decline in the last couple seasons IMO. Still very funny and worth watching, just doesn't quite match the high of seasons 2 - 5. It ended at the right time and stuck the landing too, the series finale is excellent.
Coincidentally, I'm watching the 2nd to last episode right now.

I'd say she was more of a big name credited for the show to sell it, i doubt she was actually involved in its production to the same extent she was with 30 rock. And the writing staff was probably worse and smaller.

overall, it gets better as it goes along
the earliest episodes seem to be caught up in trying to be "quality television" but by the end they are prioritizing a lot of funny jokes as fast as possible and the show is better for it
depending on your taste, you might like the earlier seasons better

all of those sitcoms from that NBC lineup (the office, 30 rock, parks and rec, community) have a massive drop in quality towards the end of their run. They just went on too long instead of ending on a high note. The Office and Parks and Rec in particular are unwatchable towards the end. Lazy writing and too much flanderization
