Why are cinephiles bashing this movie?

It's pretty good, much better than the one before it.

I liked it because they emphasized the survival aspect that really hasn't been in the series since the first one.

Because of the motherhood comment and the D-Rex apparently being an anti-abortion message. There's also the featherfags bashing it for BUT NOT REAL DINOSAURS WAH.

It is indeed an improvement over the last 2, possibly last 3 movies.
But it suffers from being slow paced and still having quite a bit of stupid shit
>the snickers wrapper
>the completely nonsensical, unexplainable Mahershala death fakeout
>greedy asshole who spends the whole movie telegraphing how he has to die at the end
>Protoceratops which does nothing other than being cute and trying to sell toys
>abundance of callbacks just for the sake of having callbacks, like the "objects in mirror" shot and the thing getting tricked by a reflection while a child hides
>hypocritical meta layer about trying to squeeze more money out of dinosaurs after people have started getting bored with them

I was at a double feature for this at a drive in. Superman was first, some cars left, but no cheering. Jurassic World ends at 2AM, people are clapping and cheering like seals. Why? It was formulaic, took no risks, except the big bad dinosaur looked like it had Down’s syndrome. At least kill a main character or child.

It was okay. Scarlett was hot. The tanktop and the tight blue shirt were perfect on her.
The family sucked shit, however, especially the retarded stoner.

Drive-in movies are still a thing in some more rural areas. There's one near me that I drive past frequently.
Though it takes big and very successful movies, like Top Gun: Maverick, to keep them open for longer stretches. Otherwise they stay closed for most of the year

Those were WAY WORSE in Dominion. They were subtle in Rebirth.

Another one is how
>a big deal is made about hybrid/mutant dinosaurs on the island
>but we only see a grand total of 2 of them, and they are variants of T. rex and raptors, which previous movies already did, instead of truly being anything new and creative

i feel like that movie was boring because of the cast. we knew they were never going to kill any of them, so they were running around the island complex like a scooby doo haunted house running from spooky things with no threat behind it

The snickers was a callback to chaos theory... complex systems... many variables.. one small change can change the outcome

What I really didnt like? the slow pace/ weird characters development
the bad guy looked was outed too early
