Part of why Thunderbolts flopped (despite being good imo) is because it's pretty much ALL setup for Doomsday.
The new team gets assembled and then the movie ends and they didn't do much else

I watched Ironman and Avengers in the 2010s but I really got tired of marvel movies after Avengers. I was tired of all super hero movies. I think it's stupid that there is continuity. Marvel movies to me is like Spiderman (2002), X-men (2000), Hulk (2003). You would watch these movies and maybe they would have a sequel but there wouldn't be this over arching story. In fact comic books when my dad grew up were not like this. If you talk to boomers they are not going to know about these crazy world ending plots. Television shows even didn't have these stories like they do now. By the time Marvel made movies in 2010s and did the MCU, I already had super hero fatigue. I couldn't believe that people liked this stuff so much. I always thought it was the lowest common denominator of entertainment. Even when I was a kid I was more into other things than comic books. I never watched a single marvel movie in theaters since 2012 for avengers.

then they tried to rush and build up Kang, but white whores who crave BBC are crazy
and now they barely started to make some meaningful headway with Thunderbotls but it feels like a short runway to doomsday and secret wars

they also recycled RDJ to play one of the most celebrated villains in marvel
and it looks like RDJ is going to be the first and last Dr. Doom
because xmen is right around the corner

thanos barely had a build up. he was just a guy in a few scenes pulling strings in GOTG 1 and Avengers 1
he just shows up and kicks the hulks ass in his first scene in Infinity War they didnt really build him up beyond a few lines uttered by Nebula and Gomorrah and yet it still worked. they dont need build up.

The big issue is that no one cares about anyone in the "new avengers" F4 is gonna under preform, all the characters people liked are gone whats left? spiderman?

People are oberblowing this way too much. FF was well into it's writing when Feige started to consider pivoting to Doom, and the director has said the film is mostly standalone. According to leaks, the film doesn't feature Doom or multiverse stuff in any large capacity, and it was never going to. Marvel's poor planning led people to assume it would be a direct set-up.
