She took an oath to uphold the Prime Directive and so did the crew. Even some of the Maquis were former Starfleet, or chakotay was at least. And I forget exactly how destroying the array followed the Prime Directive but it did so everyone on board was okay with it.

honestly i would think protecting the prime directive would mean letting nature play out and if that means the kazon destroying the ocampa, so be it.
