dredd-vs-dredd
dredd-vs-dredd

Dredd 2012's fanbase is curiously similar to the Snyder fanbase. They're hyperfixated on the gritty, realistic, mature, action-packed early 2010s reboot and constantly demand its return, and they're very hostile to the idea of a reboot that goes in a more comic-like, comedy-oriented direction. I'm not dissing them, but I find that similarity interesting.

i'm a big fan of 2012 Dredd but a lot of those guys sound like fashy "chud" weirdos that need everything to be blood meridian.

Dredd 2012 has plenty of comedy, just because it isn't slapstick shit with Rob Schneider retards like you think it's "grimdark" lmao

Best thing ablut Stallone's Dredd was that robot. Looked like something from a Besson movie.

These faggots made fun of me for liking Joel Schumachers Batman at the time when zoomer influencers discovered our favourite 90s movies. Now they do the same shit again. These are just permaonline bandwagonners, you can ignore them and enjoy what you like.

I think he's referring to a type of idiot that pops up in dredd threads all the time that obsesses about the gritty dark violent parts and ignores everything else.
I had one fag say to me Dredd is good because it has no paranormal or fantasy elements in it.
Despite you know Anderson the psyker.

The topic has come up again because Taika Waititi is attached to a new Judge Dredd reboot.

the guy who gets mopped off the floor

dredd 2012 has a decent cult following because it was a great, simple action movie. that's all. there is no comparison to snyder's jeet horde.

Its a British flick so the humour, like the comics its based on, is too subtle for Americans to understand.

None of those things are really comedy. The "dark satire" is nonexistent. It's like calling a typical American cop movie a comedy.

from which bizzarro world are you writing from? because I'd pay to watch another good Dredd movie, and I wish they adapted one of the most out-there arcs. Stallone's nailed the look and SOME of the absurdity of the comics but below the surface is pretty fucking lame. and the fact he spends like 90% of the movie without helmet is a travesty. plus urban just kills it, he was born for the role

Poe's Law, the film is clearly satirical. Retards like you thought Scream was a serious slasher movie
