I feel like Jurassic Park 3 is so beloved because they played it way more on cable networks like TNT or AMC. The Lost World would get played sometimes but not as often, I think the runtime damaged it's potential for success on cable, thus JP3 is the more exposed and well liked

JP2 has a bloated script with characters that pop in and out of the storyline, while everyone takes turns holding the retard ball.

JP3 is a tight story with a fun premise.

>William H Macy is a fake rich man looking for his son
>Alan goes with him for some reason
>The woman shouting Eric
>The guy trying to stop the plane
>The plane crashing
>The T Rex and whatever that other one was called fighting
>I think this is the one with the Pterodactyl cage
>They eventually find the kid
And thats about it. Oh, I remember it being shit.

This is true in considering that JPIII has the shortest runtime out of all of them. It's a perfect cable movie.
I can only recall seeing TLW on TV maybe like 3 times in my life? And they were all sort of an event because they included the deleted scenes with Tembo and Ludlow.

This movie is peak comfy for many reasons.
The good:
>Only JP movie without any human villains. They're simply stuck on the island and need to get off
>Characters are memorable for better or worse, some of them are annoying like Tea Leoni but somehow it doesn't feel truly grating here
>Spino is a memorable villain, redditors who were upset he killed the younger Rex can fuck off
>As a kid I liked that it was a family trapped together on the island and I'd always imagine how me and my family would survive there
>Pteranodon aviary scene is extremely well done
>Spino attacking the boat is great and is the last action set piece in the franchise that has a sense of tangibility to it
>I still prefer the raptor design of the previous two movies but the development to their intelligence in this one is pretty cool
>Grant and Billy have a nice arc
The bad
>Grant and Ellie breaking up sucks
>Some of the CGI is spotty
>ALAN is retarded but funny

>Billy and Grant arc
>Kirby family arc
The second actually is what makes the film so good because the love and reconcilliation elevates it past the backdrop of dino threats. It's closer in that way to JPI which had Grant and Ellie as the surrogate parents for Lexi and Timmy in the midst of danger. 2 failed because the bald guy was the only paternal figure around but couldn't be as emotional symbol to the audience because he had men as his charged not kids. It's what the new offshoot is trying to recapture but the family perspective is not there.

It's funny because Goldsteinbergowitz literally had a daughter assigned to him but there was ZERO reason for the audience to get invested in their relationship, which consists solely of the girl whining "DAD!"

JPIII is professionally made it can handle itself. The Spino was really well designed. They made something even scarier looking than the T-Rex, pretty nightmarish really. Although a lot of other things about the movie were silly or didn't make sense.

It's kinda implied that Spinosaurs was a secret experiment since Grant says it's not on InGen's list. How and when are never explained, but you don't need an exposition dump about it when the thing is trying to eat you alive.
I like to think it was made as a way of population control after The Lost World to keep the ecosystem stable.

No, different guy.
Fun fact, though, Billy from JP3 was supposed to be Chris Pratt's character in World at one point.

Jurassic World was conceptualized as a video game before it became a movie, produced by Spielberg. It was going to be a continuation from 3.
This is official artwork.

The pacing, or editing, or something felt like I was fast-forwarding through a movie as I rewatched it. It's pretty good, but these films always feel so childish when the main characters all survive.

Better than the Lost World. That movie fucking sucks. How could spielberg have a dinosaur loose in a major city seem boring? JP 3 is straight to the point and I love it. Ellie having kids with another guy is sad tho.

Might be the worst one. Felt very underwhelming when I watched it back then. It didn't have the grandeur of the previous movies.
