>>212860250 (OP) He was great because you come to a point where you sympathize with him and even hope that he survives. You don't appreciate him until he's gone.
>>212860250 (OP) He’s the black Candace from phineas and ferb. I always wanted him to catch Dexter but he was always too late and everyone acted like he was a schizo.

>>212860250 (OP) Why has he never done much outside of Dexter? He was so good on it and his career afterwards was a whole bunch of nothing. You'd think he would have at least become a character actor, tough no no-nonsense type
Killing him off in Season 2 did irreparable damage to the show. Everyone else in Miami PD was a complete pushover Dexter just walked all over, he needed someone who saw through his human disguise to keep him on his toes.

>>212862278 I like the little smirk from Dexter; even if toeing a dangerous line, there's still a little thrill to be had in taking that risk of showing his real self for a second. Serial killers usually crave some kind of recognition, even if indirect.

>>212862484 Still, having him say "I have my eye on you" for four seasons would get old. They had to kill him off one way or another.
>>212862555 it's just so weird that Doakes turned out to be a serial killer too.

>>212862598 Yeah that would be much better instead of the slop that the show has become past season 2. While interesting to an extent, it was just ridiculous.

>>212862579 You should always assume actors are zesty. You have to remember these people in their formative years were like >I wanna go to acting school!
