Nearly 600K per episode. 200 workers per episode including writers, camera men, actors, makeup people, costume people etc. That's about 3K per person every episode, but obviously the pay isn't spread equally. Colbert and the network would take the biggest cut. Colbert alone makes 15 million a year.
Shit adds up. For comparison it would cost 3 million dollars just to employ 200 people and pay them minimum wage for a full year. That's just the absolute bottom, but these Colbert people are well paid and would work anywhere else if they were not paid enough.
