The idea is that the house rooms, the main dining hall, and some of the professors classrooms should be comfy, and then other classrooms and common areas below that, and most of the actual castle and grounds become more dangerous as you go further from that.

They only really need to have some kind of emphasis on how comfy it is in the Gryffindor house room for the Gryffindor students. So they'd need scenes that aren't about advancing the plot or even developing characters or arcs or lore, just showing students being cool or cool things happening.

Well, movie Hogwarts (atleast from 3rd to 8th film) has this gothic italianate architecture. Book Hogwarts doesn't really go into detail as to what Hogwart's architecture actually is (It was a scottish castle built a thousand years ago. What did those look like exactly back then?)

When do we stop pretending it's about not seeing race but everyone putting their race above all others?
One day we'll need stories with 25 different protagonists, representing each race and creed, and it'll still be called unprogressive because it didn't represent every mixed race.
Perhaps we shouldn't have multiracial societies and Indians should be encouraged to create their own stories where they can see Indian representation and not cry every time they see a white person or a white couple even in fiction because the Indian isn't white and never will be white. When they grow up and are blind to race, maybe then they can come to a western society where we don't believe in race.
