he's funny and charismatic, and mostly stays out of politics besides the Haiti stunt that is constantly dragged out because it's basically the only time he was ever political

So "Andy's little sister" was played by Amy Sedaris right? Do not look at her now unless you wanna feel old.

his show was actually funny, sort of a surreal gen x type of humor. masturbating bear, walker texas ranger lever, pimpbot, etc.
He got shafted by leno out of late night, he had to dumb himself down for the house wives, couldnt handle it, got replaces by that dumb ass fallon.

Because even if he is a leftoid (everyone allowed to work in Hollywood is) he's not a cringe screeching leftoid like the other late night hosts. He's literally the only one that stays out of it.

Undoubtedly. Greg Daniels is probably the only other one that comes close, but he's not as much of a public figure as Conan is. And Matt Groening himself, of course.

2000 was the year Andy Richter left Conan and his show really took off. Richter was an atrocious sidekick, Max Weinberg just staring at Conan and being weird was addition by subtraction.

He’s actually funny, charismatic and smart
He also comes off as somewhat of genuinely nice person, especially in comparisons to dickheads like Kimmel
He somehow always found a way to uplift his guests, sometimes by depreciating himself, but not in a sad or pathetic way and more in a classy, “I can take a shot at myself because I’m not an insecure fag” way

Pretty much. Late Night with Conan O'Brien was the late night comic show favored by the internet nerds of the 90s and early 00s. The show was actually funny and appealed to a certain young (I guess 18-34, plus a few years younger) demographic without ever feeling like it was pandering, rather it was just the sort of irreverent, random, and raunchy humor favored by Conan and his writers. It's not too out of line with early SA humor or old-/b humor (albeit more sanitized, of course)

>dude, isn't this thing slightly abnormal? LMAO it's so weird dude
Conan is painfuly unfunny. his humor is aimed at shallow two-faced normies that get off on making fun of anything slightly different from their own breed of cattle. he doesn't even get why schlansky is an engaging character and that's why all the heavily scripted remotes with him suck.

my favorite thing about conan is how much of a creep he acts like towards his female guests but i guess he gets away with it because hes such an over the top clown that no one takes it seriously. like his whole thing with rebecca romain. he also constantly remarks on how beautiful the guests are, pretends to motorboat their tits. he does it on the podcast too and even does it to the fans he interviews. no one else probably notices, but i do becuase im an incel.

people notice, it's one of his biggest recurring bits lol, it's not subtle nor is it supposed to be. he gets away with it because like you say he's a clown and he plays it up so much that it's impossible to take seriously. and I think it genuinely is just a bit. he's been married to the same woman for nearly 25 years and the people close to him like Sona have commented on how devoted he is to her. being a perv is just part of his character. it's self deprecating in a way, it's like he thinks he's suave as someone like Craig Ferguson, but he's such a gangly weirdo that it's just creepy. but he's self aware of that and leans into it as a joke.

I don't know.
He's the quintessential unfunny american comedian, where he just puts people down.
It's strange because when he was writing simpsons episodes he did quality work, but something about being in front of a camera just turns him into an arsehole.

That is the absolute last word i would use to describe him. He's the opposite of charismatic. He's constantly angry and acts like he wishes he was doing something else.
