The instant he put the turtleneck on I knew he had a piece of the metal collar sheeting around his neck. THAT was good writing. We got the setup earlier with the guy rewrapping exhaust vents and I was paying more attention to him and Dexter talking rather than what he was doing. But it clicked instantly. I would have been angry if the sheeting had been wrapped around the turtleneck, and then the collar flipped down. Because we clearly saw the sheeting was not on the outside of the turtleneck. But to have it taped to his skin was clever. I was wondering if Dexter was going to try the other guy's tactic of flipping his seat back to pin the killer, but that retarded shit only works on youtube or tiktok.

Dexter is a good guilty pleasure tier show, its so fucking stupid but always entertaining. The only season of the show I find unwatchably bad is season 8 but all the other ones have redeeming qualities, while also being terrible and stupid. Resurrection is probably the best the show has been since season 4.

the only thing that continually brings the show down is that the writers can't seem to remember that Dexter is the most fun when he's enjoying himself and the hunt. There's a reason 99% of the tiktok compilation meme clips are from season 1.

I know season 6 is the black sheep outside of 8 and I simply don't get it. Season 6 is stupid like the other seasons but it does actually have one pretty major redeeming factor and that is that they kind of tried to reset Dexter to his season 1 self a little bit, he's curious about serial killers again, he's having fun being on the prowl. Halfway through the season they give possibly the biggest and worst asspull in all of Dexter, where a New Blood supporting character and an OG Miami Metro character meet completely by chance, and exchange crucial info for no good natural reason, and things unravel from there.
The finale is terrible but less so now that it's been retconned away
