The pacing of the joke ruins the joke. It’s a clunk fest of awkwardness in its original form. Making both names 3-stackable really makes the whole thing longer than it should be. Though who would be first except A. Aaronson? And some weird (polish) Z-name. Plus it’s PattE/Selma speaking and they speak kind of slow anyway.

Great joke in theory, but fails to deliver cleanly in practice: 7/10 The Simpsons joke

They had a phone book with every telephone number in Springfield listed by resident in alphabetical order. They started with A. Aaronson, the first person in the book, and ended with Zukowski, the last. It seems at first that they told literally every person in that book except for Homer that Marge was pregnant, except it turns out they literally just called those two people to spread the news for them.

It's like the episode where Homer has to gain all of the weight to qualify for disability. That weight now is just an average American weight.

Yeah, Selma was the nicer one out of the two. Shame she never found anyone. Guess they can keep that idea for the last episode, if they ever have one. which they won't

No. It's pretty clever, but the joke sucks in a crappy 4-panel format. Delivery and timing are not translated into memes.

Selma deserves love. I think Patty may try to keep her single so they stay living together. They obviously have developed a very strong co-dependent relationship. Selma has been ready to live her own life, but Patty fears losing her other half.
