Watched season 1, Empire scenes were kinda interesting and novel, rest was a slog that I eventually just skipped. Didnโ€™t watch past the first episode in season 2 because of the annoying boss bitch diplomat, I was expecting more subtle political kino like season 1 with the diplomatic gift, but no we needed boss bitch insulting the Emperor in front of his whole court without any sense subtlety.

first season is a snoozer with only empire stuff pulling it into a watchable territory, second season is much better, waiting for the new episode each weeek

I remember the first season only adapting like 1/5th of the first book while taking liberties on the universe itโ€™s set in and putting fucking action scenes that should not be there at all. A genuinely terrible adaptation.
Never bothered to watch beyond season 1.

Kino.
It's just space GoT except the nudity is all censored for some reason. Or like a tv show of Dunc. The 2 year gap between seasons sucks too. But if you binge it it should be good fun.
It's not very meme-worthy and some characters are a lot more interesting than others. So there's not much for shitposters to latch onto except the existence of minorities.

We're not given exact ages. We just know that they're all killed off earlier now than they used to be which is explained by the cognitive decline.
(In earlier seasons, we saw that Day looked like Dusk before Dusk was killed off)

in the first season I thought it was every 30 years because dusk looks like he could be 60-90 and he's old as shit when they show the first brother darkness killed and day looks about 30ish and dusk looks about 60 and they have a baby dawn

As every streaming service they only do 1 season passable or even good.
If the show isnt GOT level of success from the start, following seasons are gradually shittier
So yeah, same happened with the Foundation
You can tell they put some money and efforts in S1, and S2 and 3 are just whatever slop.

You're probably roughly right. I think that was about the age gaps.
So Dusk would probably be around 75 now, if they've changed it from 30 year gaps to 25 year gaps. 20 year gaps feel too short to me and Dawn looks/acts older than 20. I suppose it could be anywhere inbetween, like 23 year gaps.

(I've just checked the wiki which confirms the 30 year gaps. I assume someone did the maths since years are given. But doing the maths myself with the dates given in that wiki, I'm getting obviously false results. So take the wiki with a grain of salt)

So to expand on this for the zero people who care, doing the maths and referencing the wiki, Cleon 14 was born 12, 086. The problem is that Cleon 16 died in 12,240 when Demerzel killed him.
But doing the maths again, he should have ascended in 12,236, 4 years earlier than he was killed. So I guess I need to check if s2 really takes place explicitly in the year 12,240. If it does, then I have no clue why there's a drift like this. Especially since they've been quite good at keeping the ages consistent for the previous few hundred years.
