Is Gunnman more polarizing than Man-of-Steel? Either you love or you hate it.

some of people who hate it havent seen it, like when they say the movie is about immigration, but i think they have wised up to that

but i dont think its amazing movie, maybe a 7/10, 8/10 if youre using a capeshit curve

Gunnman trades being polarizing for being forgettable. You must remember that Donner Superman was polarizing in his own way. Donner got death threats over him because people were angry at the "Superman is Jesus" allegory.

There's so much I hate about the movie but there's something that makes it all work and gives me a smile. I'm not quite sure what it is.

This movie was good but felt kind of vapid, it's exactly what audiences wanted after crying about Superhero fatigue only to gobble down Superman 2025 while pretending it is chock full of generic and overdone superhero tropes.

Honestly MoS for all its faults is a better film and story, the fact it filtered so many with Pa Kent is a testament to how stupid the average capeshit fan is

Viewers want to be challenged (but not really) you see evil Jor-el is fine and dandy but God forbid Superman's earth parents aren't 100% perfect wholesome country bumpkins

"Stop my invincible son" is a testament to the great filter, the film beats the viewer over the head with messages about Pa Kent being unsure and scared for his son, not wanting the government to find out, and this wanting to hide Clark, as he realizes his Sons potential for both good and bad yet 80 IQ midwits think he was just a dick or evil

Like it or not, MoS will still be talked about in 10 years while this new Superman film, much like later MCU films will be forgotten once the new DCU films release

More like the Americans love it, the rest of the world doesn't give a crap.

I think it had potential to surpass MoS as its universe expands 2 or 3 movies in.
