The Spanish version is better but both movies are a piece of shit, Cruise piped Penelope a couple of years after this shitfest so good for him I suppose.

— Still a pretty cool overall idea.
— I haven't seen the original but I bet it's overrated.
— They could have done the "fantasy world cracking apart at the seams" better. It gave them a huge opportunity to be really creative, slightly messing up continuity and stuff so we think "hang on, what?"
— Penelope Cruz loves herself way too much to be likeable. Cameron Diaz comes across as much nicer. (Probably both are equally narcissistic in person but that's not how they appear on screen.) This spoils the film because it's not how we are meant to feel. The final rooftop goodbye would be a lot more poignant if we didn’t feel that Tom is better off without PC anyway.
