It didnt make bank, but it wasnt a flop.
but then again, it was the first movie of a reboot/soft restart of the IP.
They where going to make a lot more tron movies, and john carter movies.
but then marvel takeover happend and tron and john carter got scrapped.

The first one is barely hanging on, the script and plot couldn't have survived without the cool special effects
